1. What is the criteria?

We are proud of our greater designer community, and have a considered selection criteria that we revisit periodically to recognize their efforts. Each designer is hand-selected based on this and endorsement from our advisory board. Designers on this list are viewed through the lens of unique global potential, each advancing the African fashion landscape in their own respect.

2. How often is this list updated?

We hope to grow this list organically and objectively, to reflect the evolving, contemporary African fashion landscape. The list will be regularly updated per quarter.

3. What is the process for judging?

The IA team led by endorsements from our advisory board go through a careful selection process based on eligibility and principles of curation. Our aim is to propel brands who identify with and represent the continent, viewed through the lens of unique global scalability and business viability. These criteria reflect our mission to advance and support the industry and its changemakers.

4. How can I nominate myself/another brand to join this list?

We encourage all designers who meet the criteria to submit their application. Our index is reviewed on a quarterly basis.
